LVT flooring is predominantly made of polyvinyl chloride with a small addition of calcium carbonate powder, which classifies it as semi-rigid sheet flooring. Similarly, WPC flooring is based on polyvinyl chloride with the addition of wood powder, contributing to its semi-rigid characteristics.

Due to their distinct properties, different flooring types are suitable for a variety of applications, including residential, educational, commercial, and outdoor environments. WPC flooring is the thickest, followed by SPC, while LVT and PVC are the thinnest. Specifically, WPC flooring typically has a thickness exceeding 8 mm, making it significantly thicker than other flooring types. SPC flooring generally ranges from 4 to 7 mm in thickness. LVT flooring usually does not exceed 5 mm in thickness. PVC flooring, on the other hand, has a standard thickness of 2 or 3 mm, making it lightweight, thin, and more prone to curling during transportation.

The installation methods vary among flooring types. PVC and LVT flooring are relatively easy to install, whereas WPC and SPC have specific installation requirements. PVC flooring, being a roll-form material, is highly suitable for large-scale installations due to its straightforward and time-efficient installation process. LVT flooring offers multiple installation options depending on product design, including adhesive bonding and click-lock systems. WPC flooring, particularly for outdoor applications, requires a more complex installation process involving the prior installation of a framework, followed by the assembly of the WPC boards. SPC flooring typically features a click-lock design, allowing for a simple and user-friendly installation that can be performed even by individuals without professional assistance.
