Project Name: Traditional Chinese Courtyard Renovation Project

Project Type: Outdoor Courtyard Renovation

Project Location: A Traditional Chinese Courtyard in ZIBO

Project Background:
This project aims to modernize a traditional Chinese courtyard to enhance its functionality and aesthetic appeal, thereby creating a comfortable outdoor leisure space. By incorporating modern materials and design concepts-while preserving the unique cultural charm of the Chinese courtyard-the project seeks to strengthen its integration with the surrounding natural environment.

Project Design Concept:
For this renovation, the design team proposed transforming the courtyard into a multi-functional space that combines both practicality and artistic flair. Through the thoughtful planning of the outdoor areas, the goal is to create a small social hub that serves equally well as a venue for family gatherings and as an outdoor coffee corner.

Key Renovation Details:

Ground Paving:

The entire outdoor courtyard floor is paved with high-quality WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) outdoor decking, which is both eco-friendly and durable. Its water-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties make it ideal for outdoor use while simultaneously reducing maintenance costs.
The central circular area features a unique five-pointed star paving pattern, serving as a visual focal point that adds depth and layering to the courtyard, captures the eye, and enhances the overall aesthetic appeal.

Functional Zone Planning:

The central area is designated as an outdoor coffee corner, furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture-such as chairs and small tables-making it an ideal spot for gatherings among friends and family reunions.
Specially designed small-scale plant landscapes and green belts enhance the natural ambiance of this zone, allowing visitors to enjoy a cup of coffee while immersing themselves in a pleasant natural setting.
Project Objectives:

To create a harmonious outdoor leisure space that increases usage frequency and enriches the lifestyle scenarios within the courtyard.
To enhance both the cultural value and economic benefits of the courtyard by blending traditional and modern design elements.
Expected Outcomes:
Upon completion of the renovation, this traditional Chinese courtyard will transform into a multi-functional space that successfully preserves its traditional cultural style while seamlessly integrating with a modern lifestyle. It is expected to attract more families and friends to enjoy outdoor activities, thereby elevating the quality and enjoyment of the living experience.
