What Are The Differences Between KT Board And PVC Co-extruded Board?

Sep 08, 2022

1. Different materials

The KT board is a foamed foam board, and the outer layer is a PVC board. Since the inner layer material is foam, it is not suitable for overly complicated shapes. It is precise because the foam is used inside that the price is cheaper, the quality is lighter, and the construction difficulty and weight are reduced. The high-quality PVC co-extrusion board is made of inner PVC foam material and outer PVC veneer. It is characterized by high density and is three or four times heavier than KT board, so the price is also higher and the hardness is better. More complex models can be made.

2. The scope of use is different

The KT board can be covered with spray paint on the surface, which can be widely used in promotional display art packaging, etc., and can even be used for screen one-time printing. PVC co-extrusion board is more widely used and can be used to make PVC cabinet board, PVC advertising board, and PVC folding board.

3. Different production processes

The material of the KT version is relatively soft, so it cannot be printed directly on the board. The PVC co-extruded board can be directly printed on the board, and because of its good hardness, the printed pictures have beautiful colors. And the variety is complete, comparable to wood, and can be cut and pasted, not cracked, not painted.

Although the KT board and PVC co-extruded board have certain similarities in the application, due to the different materials of the two boards, their hardness is also quite different, which can be clearly distinguished by careful observation during use. The scope of the application and the process of making the finished product are their main differences.
